Per Schefter & Mortensen at the four-letter, details have come out that the San Francisco 49ers have snuck their way into the running for free agent QB Peyton Manning.

Details include:

• Peyton has already worked out for them at Duke.
• Niners were so impressed, that they flew their team physicians out immediately for tests and a physical.
• In light of the Niners interest, the Arizona Cardinals have been told that they should proceed as though Manning will not be available to them.
• Thus, the Cardinals have now tendered QB Kevin Kolb for $7 Million rather than release him to save the money.
• Officially 3 teams are now in the running: Niners, Tennessee Titans, & Denver Broncos.
• Broncos GM John Elway checked out Peyton throw today and liked what he saw.
• This might explain why the Niners have yet to re-sign veteran QB Alex Smith and maybe even why they signed WR Randy Moss.

Today Randy Moss announced via Ustream that he plans to play next season. He wants to play, now is there a team out there willing to take a gamble? T.O. went without a team all last season though it should be noted he was coming back from a serious injury.

Since being acquired by the Tennessee Titans, Randy Moss has recorded 5 catches.  Not touchdowns. Catches.  How about a round of applause for Randy Moss.

You know what’s even funnier?  I drafted him in the first round of my fantasy league.  Guess if I made the playoffs.

The Packers are usually hated by Vikings fans and Cowboys fans around the world, but let’s be honest, the Packers ridiculed the Vikings and Cowboys to seal the fate of the two most overrated coaches in the NFL(Chiller, Phillips).

I’ve watched Moss the past few weekends. I’ve seen how unproductive he has been. I’ve seen the zeros he puts up on my fantasy team. I still can’t wait to see where he ends up.
