Awww Yeeaaahh! Neckbeard’s bringing tha party to Dallas for 3 years!!!!
“Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out. So I was the second-string guy. Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in. I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that. Just ‘cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn’t have any billboards. That would have been nice.”
The Jags won their game today, but it means they’ll probably see Andrew Luck twice a year for the next decade and beyond. The Steelers won today, but they remained a 5th seed and may have lost their starting running back for the year. The Chiefs and Kyle Orton got their revenge in Denver, but they’ll be watching the playoffs like us.
Meanwhile, the Colts lost but gained a franchise quarterback in the process. The Bengals lost but will get into the playoffs. The Broncos scored just three points at home but clinched their division.
Winners were losers. Losers were winners.
Again, football makes no sense sometimes.
Guess who’s bizack.
News is Kyle Orton is packing his bags and headed to Kansas City for some Arrowhead and BBQ. It seems as though Monday night’s horrendous performance is all the Chiefs needed to see of Tyler Palko. Dwayne Bowe ain’t fantasy dead yet.
So the Denver Broncos have waived QB Kyle Orton.
First and foremost, this means that the Broncos are officially all in for the season with QB Tim Tebow.
What’s most interesting though, are reports that the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears are the two teams interested in acquiring him off waivers. At the moment, it seems the Bears are the front runners, as it was Orton himself who pushed for the Broncos to let him go, so that he could go back from whence he came (in that trade that sent him to Denver and Jay Cutler to Chi-Town).
Currently the Bears are 30th in the waivers line, at which point they’re either going to put in for Orton (if they haven’t already), or let him clear waivers so that they could sign him to a cheaper contract to finish out the season.
Either way, the Broncos win the most, as they got high round draft picks for Cutler in the trade and save another $2.5 milli in letting him go. Also, they’re winning without him thanks(?) to Tebow and the new offense.
Finally, if things pan out and the Bears do end up with Orton, he will face the Broncos on December 11th.
Oh, and one more thing: if Orton does go to Chicago and do well enough to get them into the playoffs, his reward? Getting benched in the post season, when Cutler returns from injury.
If you’re into compelling story lines, well, here you go.
Be careful what you wish for Denver.

During stretches, Broncos QB Kyle Orton thought he saw the image of Jesus Christ. What he actually saw was Tim Tebow’s bulge.

Terrible news for Denver Bronco fans. Kyle Orton is doing well. I know you’re going to hate to hear this but your starting quarterback is being effective. You can try to ignore it and chant for your third stringer but so far Orton is 15 of 25 for 195 yards. He’s had two touchdown passes and no interceptions.
And for the record, I like Orton.
