The decision to wear that hat was made when he found out the Steelers were playing the Broncos. That’s a “we got this one” kind of hat/outfit. Am I right?

We get that Ben Roethlisberger is a tank, but should he have played in that game last night whatsoever?

“It feels like my ankle is about to explode.”
Ben Roethlisberger
Yeah, ditto on what Los said.
(Source: Yahoo!)
If ever you had doubts about the toughness of Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger (and if you did, who are you?) last night only furthered his legend.
Midway through the 2nd quarter, Big Ben went down hard after his ankle got fallen on and bent about 45º in the opposite direction. Just as any else would do (see: never) come the beginning of the 3rd quarter, out limps Ben on to the field to finish out the game he started.
A quarter later and the dude hits Antonio Brown for a game sealing 79 yard touchdown.
His post game comments about playing with a now-diagnosed high ankle sprain?
“At least it takes away pain in the thumb.” Yes, the broken thumb he was already playing the game with.
Hard. Core.

Is it ok that I’m already sad the season is half over?
You’re going to love this week’s slate of games. We’ve got a few divisional games, the best games there are.
Jets at Bills (1:00)
This game is huge. The Jets already have three loses. If they plan on keeping pace with the Ravens and insanely as it sounds - Bengals, they will need to win this game. The Jets are coming off of a bye but they have yet to win a road game this season. On the flip side the game is just as important to the Bills. With a loss they could go from first place in the division to third. Big huge game.
Buccaneers at Saints (1:00)
Love me those division games. Get this, the division is up for grabs with this game. The Bucs are 4-3 with a win already over the Saints. The Saints are 5-3 thanks to last week’s stinker and the Falcons are 4-3 and already have a put a “W” down in ink on their scorecards for this week’s game in Indy. The game is in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (I feel dirty when I type that) and the Saints should be jacked. This game makes my heart happy.
Giants at Patriots (4:15)
Return of the helmet catch. You know Brady has already seen the reply of that reception about 3,000 times this week. That means he’ll see it about 4,000 more times by Sunday afternoon. Does Big Blue get in his head? I don’t know, though it’s still gotta sting. This could be a statement game for both QBs. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but this is either Eli’s best season of his career or close to it. If he can go into New England and handle this Pats team it will go a long way to keep his haters at bay. What am I saying? People love to hate Eli, a win here won’t matter. The Giants are probably going to have to do it without Bradshaw or Nicks. That’s a tall order.
Rams at Cardinals (4:15)
This is not a mistake. Two 1-6 teams going head to head. Both of these teams showed signs of life last week. For two quarters the Cards had their way with Baltimore, on the road. For four quarters Steven Jackson had a throwback game and ran wild over the Saints, totally embarrassing them. This could be one of those sloppy games with tons-o-scoring. Or it could be a terrible game that we will all pretend we didn’t waste time watching. It really could go either way.
Ravens at Steelers (8:20)
Unfair that this is being played the first weekend in November. Isn’t this game supposed to be played in the cold with the division on line? Shouldn’t we be watching this game in December with the playoffs days away? We are going to see the Steelers and Ravens play twice before either team has played Cincy or Cleveland even once. What a crazy schedule. I don’t hide it. I’m a huge Ravens homer and the thought of this game makes me sick. I am terrified of this game. The rest of the world looks forward to Ravens vs. Steelers. I almost throw up. These games are like a three hour punch in the gut. I’ve seen it too many times, I know how the movie ends. With a broken foot and broken nose Big Ben drops back, Suggs comes around the edge and gets his arms around number 7, he’s going down, but wait - he’s not going down. Ben breaks free just as every Pittsburgh receiver (that had previously been covered) magically starts to free up from their exhausted defensive back. Bah, humbug!
Who Ya Got?
Ray Lewis
With yesterday’s interception of Ben Roethlisberger, Ray became the only player in NFL history to accumulate more than 30 interceptions and 30 sacks. He’s currently sitting at 38.5 sacks and 31 interceptions. Ray Ray does it all. The greatest middle linebacker to play the game.
So, the Pittsburgh Steelers are gonna be in The Dark Knight rises!?
Ben Roethlisberger and about a dozen of his veteran teammates will take part in the filming of Dark Knight Rises playing — what else? — football players at a familiar venue for them, Heinz Field. The production, which has been filming in Pittsburgh, moves Saturday morning to the Steelers home, where thousands of extras playing fans have been recruited. The Steelers will return to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for a real football practice under the direction of coach Mike Tomlin Saturday afternoon.
“I’m kind of getting everybody together,” Roethlisberger told the Post-Gazette today. “I heard it’s going to be a neat thing at the stadium. I don’t think it will be a big part, it’s not like we’re chasing Batman down or anyting. It’s something neat that in 10 years or 20 years we can tell our kids we were in a movie. Thomas does movies big and I’m sure it will be a big-time movie and something fun to be part of. From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be like a pre-game, warming-up type thing. I don’t know the whole concept. There’s a Gotham team, a football game. We’ll be wearing uniforms. It will be fun.”
Among teammates expected to join him are Hines Ward, Willie Colon, Maurkice Pouncey, Mike Wallace, Heath Miller, Aaron Smith, Ryan Clark, Troy Polamalu, James Farrior and Casey Hampton.”
And that’s why you watch the Sportsdome every Tuesday night.

The Jets are about to go against their third straight Super Bowl winning quarterback. I thought the Jets barely won the Colts game but they really impressed me against the Patriots. Ben is a totally different brand of quarterback. Ben holds the ball for an eternity, waits for the play to break down, and then rises to the occasion.
It will be interesting to see how Rex schemes this game defensively. Although he’s very familiar with Big Ben from his days in Baltimore I wouldn’t say he was overwhelming successful.
