Tom Brady could go with the Keith Flynt and it wouldn’t matter because he’s still with Gisele.

Balled too Hard
There is a report out that the reigning defensive player of the year, Terrell Suggs, has torn his Achilles tendon.  An injury of that magnitude would likely force him to miss the entirety of the season.

Marcellus Wiley reacts to the death of former Chargers teammate, Junior Seau.

If this doesn’t speak to you, emotionally, I don’t know what will.

Had the honor of meeting & hanging out with Junior Seau a handful of times, both when I lived in La Jolla, as well as on the East Coast. We both did some work for the same charity & its devastating to know he was in that much pain.

Gone too soon, Junior. Gone too damn soon.

Godspeed.

Please, if you need help, get it.

R.I.P. Tiaina Baul “Junior” Seau (1969 - 2012)
This is just sad. Seau is without a doubt one of the greats that have ever put on a helmet. Not only an icon in San Diego, but a legend around the league. For those who witnessed his ferocity all throughout his career, from USC to New England, you know what a loss this is.
This is just the worst.

At first I was caught off guard by Seau’s suicide and then I was reminded by twitter about Seau’s “car accident” a while back:

@SI_LeeJenkins: Two years ago, Seau drove his car off a cliff in San Diego. Said he fell asleep, wasn’t trying to commit suicide

The thought that Seau might have been trying to end his life for nearly two years makes the situation that much worse. Makes you wonder how far back his pain goes and how much he struggled through all the years.

Who hugged the NFL commissioner longest.  I won’t wreck the ending, you’ll need to watch.

I love when NFL ads get proper directors.

On Thursday prior to Round 1 of the NFL draft, team HHR and a handful of bloggers including our friends at KSK, SB Nation, The Jets Blog, Bleacher Report and The NFL Chick were given the opportunity to tour the League’s new headquarters and sit in their nerve center to hear from, among others, senior manager/assistant director of operations (and former chicken dancer) Merton Hanks and the Commissioner himself, Roger Goodell.

GMC, the official vehicle of the NFL, was gracious enough to invite us to take part in the intimate gathering.  As black GM SUVs were shuttling players - past, present and future - to and from Radio City Music Hall, the invite was a smart, cost-effective and non-intrusive way to connect with a handful of online influencers that benefits the company, league and participants alike.

Pretty cool look inside the NFL machine, courtesy of the legendary Hugging Harold Reynolds crew.

Commissioner Roger Goodell getting up-close-and-personal with NFL Draft picks.

No Commish sharing intimate moments during the draft, tonight, as each team will have a special rep(former player) announcing the picks…BUT IT’S 2 FOR 1 NIGHT!!!

Rounds two & three kick off at 7:00.

A little cleaning up of the transaction report: Tampa obtained the 31st & 126th picks from Denver, with the Broncos receiving the 36th & 101st in return.

The Bucs would then use the 1st rounder for RB Doug Martin, Boise St.

Nice deal for both clubs.
